[Sam Chakraborty], Landlord/Lessor at 191 Glen Rd for our 5 man group attending McMaster University.  Our relationship has exceeded all expectations for student-landlord interaction (re. off campus student housing houses & apartments for group student house rent lease rentals in Westdale, Hamilton, Ontario; exclusively by students registered at McMaster University).

 

Fairness, honesty, and trust are characteristics underlying Sam's approach to business and have helped to secure a strong partnership throughout our entire tenancy.

 

As undergraduates, looking for a good house & a reliable landlord, can be a daunting task. Assessing the quality of a property is a process that most students are unfamiliar with. When we first arrived at 191 Glen Rd, Pericles Partners Inc. & the current tenants (a group of 5 women who had been living there for 3 years) greeted us amicably.  The current tenants had cleaned & prepared the house for our visit & for other interested visiting groups. The tenants gave us a comprehensive walk-through of the property & spoke with us privately (without the presence of the Landlord).  We felt comfortable being able to judge the value of the house & landlord based on the honest & confidential experience of our student peers. 

 

We were the 1st group (of 7-8 scheduled for that day) to see the property, and we leased it on the spot even whilst other groups were waiting at the door. 191 Glen is a compact, modernized, and very energy cost efficient home with a excellent location, privacy, and facilities.

                This sort of honest & open business platform is a truly unique & valuable asset that makes Pericles Partners Inc. a particularly credible & reputable student-friendly landlord.

When trying to balance academics, social commitments, and a personal life it is comforting to know that property service, repairs, maintenance matters won't be a source of stress.  Whether we were faced with a power outage, appliance problem, or large tree branch falling on the roof; Sam was always available via phone or e-mail to ensure that our problem was taken care of by one of many on-call professionals.  Service/Repairs were done in a remarkably timely (usually on the same day or the very next) and non-intrusively.  Pericles provided an exceptional level of customer service & high quality standard of living.

 

                Beyond matters of repairs & service, Pericles Partners Inc. assists in student living via a very detailed professional Lease & an active correspondence and communications protocol, which highlights the responsibilities of tenants within the community.  This has helped us avoid many by-law fines/issues & helped our transition into living in our house.
